Columba 1400
Our purpose is simple: to help young people realise that they already have the inner greatness and confidence to transform their own lives and those around them. Our inspirational and dynamic programmes are at the heart of everything Columba 1400 does. During our Values led Leadership programmes young people, their parents or carers, teachers, support workers and other key figures from across the UK come together at our centres on Skye and on the banks of Loch Lomond.
Our residential programmes, followed by ongoing support, are designed to give young people the strength and courage to find their own unique voice and purpose – and to use that voice to inspire families and communities on return. Columba 1400 has provided a turning point in the lives of nearly 5000 young people and adults who have participated in our programmes since 2000. We are in the third year of a five year Big Lottery Fund project 'Young People's Leadership: Sustaining and Extending Personal and Community Impact'.
Columba 1400 is an award winning social enterprise and charity.
Columba 1400 could work in partnership with YOUR youth agency in order to recruit, fund and support YOUR young people. If you have identified the need for support and have a group of at least eight young people to work with then get in touch with Columba 1400 for more details.
