FutureLearn
FutureLearn offer a collection of online courses to bridge the gap between school and higher education. If you are aged 16 to 19 it could help you to choose the right degree, uni or career. Many courses are offered free of charge to school pupils and allow you to:
- Try out new subjects: such as coding, robotics, screenwriting, mental health or forensic science, to get a taste of a degree or career in the field
- get advice on writing personal statements or boost your interview skills
- get ready for university: by gaining skills such as critical thinking or the advanced maths that’s required for degree-level study.
The courses are provided by many top UK universities, run for three to eight weeks for a few hours each week, and can be taken anywhere, anytime on mobile, tablet or PC.
