Voluntary Action Lochaber
Voluntary Action Lochaber (VAL) holds a variety of Volunteering Opportunities for Organisations in Lochaber, and further afield. Many of the volunteering opportunities would be suitable for young people.
In addition, VAL works with our local High Schools to promote Saltire Awards. These awards are a Scottish Government supported recognition scheme for young people between the ages of 12 to 25 years involved in voluntary work throughout Scotland.
It is estimated that over 3,000 people Volunteer in Lochaber, making a notable contribution to our economy and helping to make our communities safer and more inclusive. Volunteering provides Individuals with new skills, confidence and leads to more empowered communities.
