English for speakers of other Languages (ESOL Classes)
What do we offer?
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) are basically English lessons for anyone who is not a native English speaker. There are general everyday communications, conversational classes, work or study related courses and some have a more specific focus. Many will be tailored to the needs of the individual or the interests of the group. For more information and how to join, you should contact the training provider or College directly.
The ‘Highland ESOL Providers’ organise English language (ESOL) classes in the Highlands and Moray. We are a group of people working in different colleges, community and public organisations. We offer quality ESOL classes with opportunities to join the best class for you. On our website you can get up to date information about ESOL classes in the Highlands and Moray.
Who can apply?
If you have left school and feel that you are requiring help with your English language skills you are welcome to join one of our classes. Contact the provider to find out more.
What can you achieve?
There are many classes throughout the Highlands at different levels, both certificated and non-certificated aimed at individuals who need English to live, work or study in Scotland. Speak to the individual provider to find out about accreditation.
Who do I contact to find out more?
Information about classes in Highland can be found on the Highland ESOL website. This website aims to make it easier for you to find which classes are running in your area at the present time. All you need to do is go to the Home page, click on the area you live in (or wish to find classes in), this will open up to a list of all the classes in that area that are run by members of the HALP ESOL Providers group. By clicking on the venue, you will find out directions to the venue. By clicking on the logo, you will find out more about the College or Training Provider.
Alternatively contact The WEA on 01463 710577. WEA co-ordinate the ESOL Providers Group.
