RSNO Young Creatives Opportunity

Are you a talented young musician Interested in pursuing a career in the creative industries; have a passion of live music and theatre? Discover the Young Creatives Opportunity and join RSNO for an academic year as an RSNO Young Creative to experience what life in a professional orchestra is like, both on stage and behind the scenes.

You will spend the year working with your fellow musicians as an ensemble, first in a series of workshops designed to develop your musicianship and orchestral technique, before beginning work on the repertoire which will be performed at the end of the year in a side-by-side concert with the RSNO. Throughout the year, you’ll receive specialised coaching and mentoring from RSNO musicians and the Young Creatives conductor, take part in concert visits to watch the RSNO, and work with the Young Creatives Programmers to shape the concert itself. There will be regular online activity to keep in touch with everyone in between the in-person sessions. At the start of June, you will rehearse and prepare with RSNO tutors on a fun, inspiring residential course (2-4 June) where we will have social activities as well as develop your musicianship/interpersonal skills.
