Young Enterprise Team Programme - now accredited

Young Enterprise Scotland is delighted to announce SCQF accreditation the for Team Programme designed for additional support needs (ASN) students .

The Young Enterprise Scotland Team Programme, which is based on its successful Company Programme, is now credit rated at SCQF Level 3 in partnership with Glasgow Kelvin College. Having championed qualifications for ‘learning by doing’ initially with the Company Programme we aim to enlist more than 100 onto the course in the new academic year.

The Team Programme is a year-long enterprise journey for students over the age of 15 who have mild to moderate learning difficulties. Designed to aid young people's transition from education into independent living and employment, the programme develops confidence and life skills through working as a team to set up and run an enterprise. The Team Programme has been piloted at New College Lanarkshire and at Orkney College, receiving the overwhelming support from teachers. At New College Lanarkshire, nine students with additional support needs from its Ready for Retail programme set up the Wee Shop on campus, selling a range of drinks, snacks, stationery, reusable coffee cups, USB memory sticks and mobile phone accessories.
