Working Rite - Stage 3

What do we offer at Stage 3?

As a trainee we will match you to a local business where you will learn a trade of your choice and learn skills to cope in the world of work. You will be in a work placement on a full time basis - no more than 30 hours per week. Provision of work placement will normally include a number of different job sectors dependent on your needs and availability of employers in the area.

The programme generally lasts 12 weeks and will take place over 5 days per week.  The days could vary depending on the work placement opportunity.

Who can apply?

This programme is suitable for anyone who is aged 16-21 and is not in education, training or employment, but is at the pre-employment stage.  Our opportunities are available in Inverness and surrounding areas up to Invergordon and down to Aviemore and anywhere inbetween.

What can you achieve?

You will gain experience, on-the-job learning and potentially employment.  You will also have the opportunity to gain the SQA Certificate of Work Readiness or to undertake GOALS training with the support of the Project Coordinator.  GOALS is a 3 day motivational training programme that challenges the way you think, feel and behave; creating a more positive attitude which enables movement towards employment.

Could I get a training allowance?

For 16-17 year olds you will receive a weekly training allowance of £55 per week from WorkingRite and an additional £30 per week from the placement provider whilst on placement.  If you are 18+ and are on benefits you will stay on your benefits.  Travel costs are covered also.
