Traditional Building Skills - Evening Talks, Training Seminars & Workshops

The Inverness Townscape Heritage project (TH) is working with Frew Conservation to deliver a range of traditional building skills training.

The courses have been designed around the needs of traditional buildings in Inverness and the surrounding area, addressing real issues and problems faced by building contractors, professionals and homeowners on a daily basis.  

Evening Talks & Demonstrations

The evening talks and demonstrations are for owners and occupiers of traditional buildings, or those with a general interest in historic buildings and their repair. Scheduled to last 2 hours, each talk will provide plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion.

Tea/ coffee will be provided as part of a mid-session comfort break.

  • 06 June 2018 Lime Mortars and Harling for older buildings
  • 29 August 2018 Looking after Traditional Roofs
  • 03 October 2018 Looking after Traditional Stonework

All evening talks are at the Old High Church Hall, Academy Street, Inverness from 7-9pm
