Talking About Tomorrow – preparing parents and carers for transition at age 16

13th March 2019

Booking is now OPEN for Talking About Tomorrow – preparing parents and carers for transition at age 16, which is a conference on transitions running next March.

This is an event specifically and primarily for parents and carers, with a limited number of places available to professionals working directly with parents and families. The topics covered include finance, guardianship and legal protection, rights and responsibilities, community based learning/work opportunities, safeguarding your own physical and mental health, and developing assertiveness and negotiating skills.

The conference is free for parents and carers, and help can be given with travel and/or care costs if necessary so people can attend. Please note however it is aimed at parents and carers only – unfortunately we can’t provide workshops or appropriate care facilities for young people on this occasion.
