If the answer is yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for 4 apprentices within Engineering and 4 within Quality to come and work at our LifeScan Scotland facility in Inverness.

LifeScan is a Johnson & Johnson company. LifeScan Scotland was created in 2001 when Johnson & Johnson acquired the UK assets of Inverness Medical Ltd, a medical device company established in Inverness in 1995 to design and manufacture glucose test strips, and design electronic meters for the global diabetes market.

We are looking for bright individuals who want to push themselves to help us deliver the next generation of products for the worlds largest healthcare company. This is a fantastic opportunity to study and gain valuable, practical knowledge & skills whilst being paid a salary. Working closely with the Highlands and Islands Univeristy in Inverness and SEMTA (Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies Alliance), where you can kick start your career, learning new skills in a fast paced and exciting environment. As well as on the job training and personal development, this 4 year apprentice-training program will result in the attainment of either an SVQ or HNC and many carry on to complete their Degree qualification. What you’re great at: To gain this opportunity you will be proactive and want to excel within engineering. You will be dedicated to improving your knowledge and skill set and want to make a difference for customers all around the world.

Pathways towards HNC, HND or Degree are possible depending on your level of academic qualifications at the time of starting. In this role you will be part of a technically expert team providing innovative solutions in a creative environment.

Qualifications: To gain this amazing opportunity to study whilst earning then we will need you to be committed to working hard and pushing yourself to learn and grow.
