Audi Apprentice Parts Advisor - Highland Audi

Volkswagen Group parts personnel are essential team members within the retailer.  The parts department plays a vital role in selling parts and accessories, as well as providing assistance to both the service and vehicle sales departments in helping them to work effectively. Parts advisors are also known as vehicle parts operatives. They are responsible for ordering, selling and managing stock control on a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories.

What might a typical day in this job look like?

Duties may vary from employer to employer but will typically include:

  • Advising customers on how to solve a problem with their vehicle
  • Taking orders from customers both face to face and over the phone
  • Maintaining an ordered stock room and finding parts from stock
  • Raising invoices for parts sold
  • Liaison with other members of staff

On completion of the programme you will receive the following qualifications: • VCQ Level 3 in Vehicle Parts Operations • Level 2 Key and Core Skills Certificates • IMI Level 2 Technical Certificate and IMI Level 3 Diploma • Advanced Apprenticeship Completion Certificate

What qualification or qualities are required? A minimum of three GCSE's grades A-C (New Grades 4 – 9) in English, Maths and Science or the equivalent, including Level 2 Functional Skills. For Scottish grades, we accept a minimum of National 4 Pass .Without these grades, your application cannot be considered. In return we will train you to the highest standard using the best people and resources available both in the workplace and in our academy. Motor Vehicle experience is not essential however retail; customer service or administration skills would certainly be advantageous.
