Watermill Enterprises provides training for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities and physical difficulties. We recognise the barriers to employment caused by such disabilities. At Watermill there are jobs suitable to fit the requirements of all students. Everyone works as part of a team and is welcomed into the small group.
Watermill is designed for young adults who are leaving school or would like to join us after college. Trial periods can be given through arrangement to help make a choice with transition from school. There is no time limit laid down as to when you leave Watermill as we understand that everybody’s needs are different.
We are a not-for-profit organisation funded by day care payments from NHS Health & Care Partnership and self-directed support. Our programme includes the following activities: being part of the community gardening team, studying for a recognised horticultural certificate in our extensive grounds, life skills such as using transport safely, keeping fit, money skills, cooking and hygiene, music and social skills and computing.
