Signpost

Signpost is a non–profit making link between volunteers and voluntary organisations. We have offices in Nairn and Inverness working across the voluntary, public and private sectors. It aims to raise the profile of volunteering as a powerful force for change in people’s lives.  It offers a volunteer recruitment service to appropriate organisations and provides information and advice to prospective volunteers.  We also deliver Saltire awards for young people age 12 to 25 years.

We run a Handy Person scheme that covers Inverness-shire, Nairn and Badenoch & Strathspey for elderly, disabled or vunerable members of the community.

Accessible to all, it:

  • Provides free advice and information on volunteering
  • Supports and matches volunteers to available opportunities
  • Encourages organisations to adopt standards of best practice
  • Provides training opportunities
  • Provides a Handy Person scheme

These services are provided in a friendly, relaxed environment, with confidentiality assured.  Signpost’s offices also provide photocopying facilities.

Getting in touch is the easiest way to discover how we can help you.
