
The SHIRLIE Project is a supported employment agency. The project offers a flexible service which may include: life planning, vocational profiling using person-centered planning techniques, support with CV writing and interviews, approaching employers and negotiating terms and conditions on behalf of the clients, in-work support and aftercare, advice on benefits and financial matters. The service is available to anyone in Highland who feels they need support to gain or sustain employment.
Alongside the work we do with adults, the SHIRLIE Project work with school children who are at risk of disengaging from education.
The SHIRLIE Project also delivers:
- Skills Development Scotland - Employability Fund Provision;
- Activity Agreements for young people who have left full time education and would like assistance in finding a positive direction for their future;
- The Bigger Picture; and
- The Highland Council 'Try it Out' and 'Work it Out' programmes
The SHIRLIE Project has outreach workers in Skye and Caithness and offices throughout Highland:
