Online Highers with Inverness College
Highland Council in partnership with Inverness College UHI offer a range of Online Highers for school pupils to study as part of their school curriculum. These are Higher courses which are open to self-motivated and able senior students who are able to undertake coursework with online tutor support and discussion boards. The highers offered are in subjects that are often not available in local schools and therefore help to extend the range of subjects that pupils can choose from.  Online study also supports the development of independent learning which is useful for further study and employment.

In nearly all cases there is mandatory attendance at a number of Saturday workshops throughout the session, and only students who can make this commitment should apply.

If you are interested in finding out more speak to your school Online Highers Coordinator initially. Information packs about next year's courses usually go out in February, which is when you should be considering making an application for the next academic year.  You will need to check funding arrangements with your school and will also require their support with your application. All applications should be submitted through your school.
