Merkinch Technology Centre

Merkinch Enterprise, founded in 1992, is a registered charity working primarily within the Merkinch ward of Inverness to help reduce unemployment and associated problems.

A subsidiary organisation, Merkinch Technology Centre provides (among other things) training for the unemployed and is funded by the European Social Fund. The training is aimed at familiarising anyone aged over 16 with how to use a PC in an office environment using the MS Office software package.

Other training opportunities are also on offer including access to ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
Training materials for ECDL use a Distance Learning approach.

Merkinch Technology Centre is an accredited ECDL Testing Centre.
