Cantray Park Cafe

What do we offer?

Cantray Park Café is the social enterprise arm of Cantraybridge College, a rural skills college for young adults with physical or learning disabilities or who have autism.

We offer a 12 week training and work experience programme which will build up your skills in a cafe environment, as well as developing your confidence and thoughts about future employment.  You will learn all about the different sections of the cafe and will have the option to gain a food hygiene certificate.  As part of the programme you will also be supported into the programme and will look at further options before you move on.

Who can apply?

Cantray Park Café offers funded café training and work experience to young people aged 18-30.  Focusing on students with physical/learning disabilities or with autism, this opportunity is designed to give you a short, focused programme of training in a supported, commercial environment.

What can you achieve?

During your 12 week placement you will gain employability skills in all areas of the cafe.  This will include kitchen safety, perparation of food, baking, customer service, and the option to complete the Elementary REHIS food hygiene certificate.
